Happy Thanksgiving!

While Scott was up at deer camp Jaime and Nate stopped by on their way to a AC/DC concert on Sunday (sorry, don't know how to type a lightnening bolt...) and Sam happened to be fascinated with the old-fashioned egg-beater he had pulled out of the utensil drawer that day- his arms are just long enough!!
Then on Tuesday evening we headed out for Amherst for some bonding time with Mara and Mike who were up from Missouri for the Holiday and a baby shower for little RA Syring who is due to make his entrance in February.

Happy Turkey Day Auntie M!

How many different expressions can you count?

Pretty necklace Auntie Mara!

Hugs for Great Uncle Roger!

Are you gonna eat that cousin Erik?

No, but it's MINE!

Auntie Stephanie!

Hey there cousin Elyse- what do you think of the grandkids bench?

We did the blindfolded teddy-bear-diapering competition...Mike was a very good sport.
I will post the video later unless he bribes me not to.

No no Auntie Mara, no snuggles!

Forced Bonding with Auntie Mara...

Waiting for Grandpa to get back from the barn...

I see him!!

Is that you Grampa?!

Sam finally gave in the last night we were at Gatfly and Grampa's and fell asleep in Grampa's arms while we watched "White Christmas." Poor little bugger was a litte off on his sleep pattern- the first night we were there he was up until about 2 (he slept almost the whole way there in the evening after we got done with work). But for the most part he was a very good boy and pretty much in good spirits most of the time- as long as we keep him fed and with a clean diaper! We wish the same for Mara and Mike with their little one, and we know they will be great parents. Good to see you!!!

Sunday Visit

Sam got to spend lots of grandparent time this weekend. We went to Grandma Diane and Grandpa Roger's for dinner on Saturday evening and Sam helped with the air compressor...pulled out a pin of some safety valve and got the snit scared out of him...(we have to censor around him now- he's like a frickin parrot...). And he discovered the word "NO" feels really good to say. Almost as much fun as saying "Da." Then Gatfly and Grampa Bacon came for the day with a load of firewood for us. We didn't have the camera with at the Aho's but got a few shots today.

Who's teaching whom?

Inga's waiting for one of the drunken Waxed Cedar Wings to hit the window (three did today...they get drunk on the apples from the Flowering Crab)

Go Horsie Gatfly!!!

For Auntie Mara

I text messaged Mara that I didn't know what to do with myself because Sam went to bed early and she recommended I blog or have a glass of wine. All of my wine has gone bad- did you know that it doesn't keep in the fridge for two years? Wierd. So here's some random thoughts. Sam has two new teeth. And here's just some other random pictures...

Note the bottom right new tooth...Upper left new tooth (and spaghetti sauce)...

New nail clipping technique- sleeper hold with the bottle...actually he fell asleep and I didn't want to wake him while I cut his nails so I was trying to keep the bottle in his mouth with my arm...

Who knows...

Up to some kind of trouble....

Oh, and Uncle Joshie called tonight- we are so excited for them that they have their phone working!! Now they're just waiting for their internet so they can post pictures of my nephew.

Deer Camp Wood Collecting

On Sunday we took a trip up to the Deer Camp to gather some fire-wood for the winter though it was hard to think of needing to stay warm, as it was in the sixties on the second of November! Sam was a very good helper, and Momma even got in a little bit of manual labor! Grandpa Roger and Wally came by to help out- first by taking Hunter with them for a while to hunt for Grouse and then helping cut and stack some firewood in Scott (and Roger's) truck. Thank you to them! Sam slept well last night! Hunter too!!

I have more pictures to post, but it's only letting me post one at a time and I'm tired. I say good-day.

Happy Halloween!

Our poor little Charlie Brown didn't get to do much for Trick-or-Treating because of his cold, but we think he caught on to the concept...
