Auntie Mara's Visit

Sam's Auntie Mara came to stay with us for a couple of days and get in some Hugs-n-Snugs before she and her husband move to Missouri and she starts Med School (she can be his personal pediatrician!). We had to have a little fun with him while she was here, and we had a wonderful time!

Almost three weeks!!!

It is so hard to believe we've had this little guy for nearly three weeks! We're getting settled in pretty well- he's let me have a couple three hour stretches in the night the last few nights, and that really helps! I would post pictures of Sam's visit to my (Sally's) work from yesterday, but...I brought the camera and the memory card was still in the computer at home...so next time! He was a big hit with the folks at work- they tried to tell me I could come back to work tomorrow and bring him with me! I don't think so! Here are some more recent pictures- he's getting to be so expressive and spending more and more of his time awake and taking in the world. My sister Mara will be coming late tonight to stay a couple of days with us, so I'm sure there will be more pictures soon! And I had to include the picture Scott captured of Hunter doing his "let-me-in" face on the patio door... Love to all- S S & s

Sam's visitors!

Here are most of Sam's visitors so far- still need a pitcure of Uncle Eric and Sam, and don't have any pictures of him meeting the neighbors...He's looking forward to meeting the rest of you too! Some of Sally's friends plan on stopping by this weekend as well. We appreciate how respectful everyone has been with their visits. The little guy is doing very well nursing, but can be pretty demanding when hungry! Thanks to all!

Cousins!

Cousin Cari and her little ones came to visit on Sunday. Attached is a picture of both boys in their car seats. Hard to believe Erik is 5 months older...lots to look forward to! Cari's daughter Elyse provided lots of entertainment too- quite the three year old!

Bathtime!

Thought I would share some pictures of Sam's first bath in his little tub...he really did quite well0 only cried a little. I'll have daddy post a short video of it too. It's hard to believe we've had him home with us for a week now- time has flown and stood still at the same time! We're still getting to know eachother and adjusting (and trying not to expect a routine- that's tough!) and he's teaching us more and more every day! That's all for now... Sally

More pictures!

The first picture is of our dejected animals- really they're doing all right, so is Sam! The last couple pictures show Sam before and after feeding- it amazes us how plump he looks after he eats!

Milk Coma?

Thought I'd try to add a video of Sam in his Video Captured Milk Drunken state.

Hope this works...

I hear that the people demand pictures, so here you go! He's doing well, taking quite the nap now...mommy will wake him soon so we stand a chance of a nap during the night...We can't get over how precious he is- thank you all for your help and support!

Okay I probably need to explain the picture through the window- I don't know if you can see them, but there were little gnomes on our bird feeder outside the window at the hospital, and for whatever reason, they made me laugh- the midwife even stopped mid-sentence when she noticed them and laughed too...I guess we're easily amused!
