Shower and Algoma

We've fallen a little behind...already! We had a wonderful Baby Shower in Amherst the weekend of the 19th with Sally's family (and family friends). We are so fortunate to have such generous and talented relatives! Sally's mom made a beautiful quilt (with the help of Aunt Connie)! We're starting to feel more prepared thanks to all the help and support and advice (especially cousins Cari and Krista!) of family and friends. Sally's cousins little ones helped with the gift opening- such good helpers!

And this last weekend we went to Algoma Wisconsin where Scott's parents own part of a Marina/Campground. Junior had his first fishing trip on Lake Michigan! He seemed to do fine though mommy got a little nauseous...nothing we couldn't handle though! Here's pics of Captain Scott, First Mate Sally and future First Mate Junior...

Hoping you all had a safe and happy holiday weekend!

Still here

Hey there- just wanted to check in and say we are still here...there's just not much new to write about! Almost 32 weeks- that's eight months!!! Still working on getting big(ger). Baby Aho is moving quite a lot, testing his current boundaries; I believe it when they say he's about 16 inches long! We are enjoying cooler weather today; 60's versus 90's yesterday! Mommy's much more comfortable today- this could be a long summer!

Well here we are, nearly 30 weeks along towards baby Aho! Here's a picture of mom and baby in the nursery (yes that's the color we painted; flashlight beam, very pale green), and a picture of the new inhabitants of our deck. A pair of mourning doves has layed a nest in our planter and they give poor Scottie a heart attack when he goes onto the deck! Sally didn't have the heart to let Scottie move the nest, so I guess we're in it for about a month/month and a half...we'll see how it goes! Scottie also mowed the front yard for the first time of the spring today- busy boy! Hope you all had a good Tuesday! Sally :-}
